Tutorial #6 - Electric Fields

So I guess the internet isn't actually back yet. So I couldn't post my tutorial last night. However, I have brought my laptop to my gentleman's house and I am writing up the tutorial right now. :3 It's a really simple tutorial, but it's kind of cute, so please enjoy it. :3

Step One:
After cleaning up your nails, (I had to make a rather unlovely repair to one. But now it's all fancy and not broken anymore. :3) put on your base coat. I used Neon Green, purchased from Ardene's. The fabulous thing about this colour is that it's UV reactant. That means that if you put it under ultraviolet light (black light) It'll glow and be really awesome. :D However, it's cheap nail polish. It's really thin. So you'll probably need about 4 or 5 coats, minimum.

Step Two:
Using a thin white brush, paint two stripes going halfway down your nail.

Step Three:
Using the same white with a thin brush, paint two more stripes, going across the top, one on top of the other. Leave a bit of space between the edge of the nail and the top stripe, though.

Now just put on your lovely little topcoat and BOOM!

Like I said, it's really easy. But it looks kinda cute, too. :3 So I thought I'd post it. I don't know when I'll get the next tutorial posted. Depends when I'll have my laptop with meh in an environment in which I'll have internet access. Not tomorrow, but maybe the next day...? :3

Update #3 - Back

So my internet is FINALLY back. :D So after the unlovely delay, I have two more tutorials for you. Shit, maybe two and a half. Cause I still have to finish the thief nails. xp Well, I shall finish that tutorial tonight, and hopefully post last week's tonight as well. This week's tutorial will probably be up by tomorrow at the latest. I promise. :3

The tutorial from last week is super duper simple and not that exciting, though. And my brother kinda pointed it out that it was like white picket fences, and started making fun of me... =____= I didn't intend it to resemble that. Just cute little swishes... Blah. The picture I took of the finished product looks nice, though. :3 I'm pleased with that.

Update #2 - Difficulties.

It looks like I will not be able to post any tutorials for an unknown amount of time... :/ The internet has been out at my house for two days now, and I am quite concerned. I have no idea why, but without internet at my own house, on my own computer, I won't be able to post tutorials. This is because I need the pictures off of my camera to do so, and I've lost the USB cable for it. Normally, I use the SD card reader in my own computer to take images off of my camera, but I'm currently using a computer at the library, which has no card reader. So that is just balls. :/ And after I'd come up with such a lovely tutorial, too... Once i get my internet back, I promise to catch up. I'll still take the pictures for my tutorials, and just post them all once I come back. So until then, I can try to post updates on my predicament from other computers. But other then that... yeah. xp

Tutorial #6 Warriors of Light [Part five of five]

The final nail art tutorial for my Final Fantasy nails~~ The thief. :3 So yush~ I'll do a really nice tutorial on monday or sunday night. I promise.

Step One:
Prepare your nails, fool! And put down your basecoat! I used a lovely dark green~~

Step Two:
Using a bright green, paint a semi-circle ish shape in one corner of your nail. Add two SMALL dot-like shapes coming from one corner of the semi-circle. Boom Bandanna!!

Step Three:
Using a goldish colour, put the kind of "handle" you painted for the warrior's blade. This one should be a bit smaller though. Using a silver, paint the blade of the knife. You'll want it to be small, and maybe a bit curved. Use a white, thin brushed polish to paint the sharp edge onto the blade.

KAYSO. I am so sorry this got delayed so much. xp I'm also sorry for all that nonsense with the internet. But it's back, now! And so am I. :3 I'll post the tutorial for last week tomorrow night. :3

Tutorial #5 Warriors of Light [Part four of five]

Like I said, here are the white mage nails. These are my favourite of my Final Fantasy nails... I just think they turned out rather cute. :3

Step One:
Clean your nails, and put on the top coat. It should be white.

Step Two:
Using red nail polish, paint several small, red triangles in a row across the top of your nail. Like the White Mage hood. :3

Step Three:
Using either a tan, gold, or brown ish colour, paint a somewhat thin line across your nail. On one end, put a small crook. The one in my picture's a little tricky to see, because of the flash from the camera.But you sort of can...

Step Five:
Use a green of any shade. The brighter the better. You won't want a greyish green. That'll look awkward. A nice bright one looks cute. :3 Paint four thin, short lines. Somewhat like a cross, but stopping just before intersecting each other. Put it on the other side of the nail, where there;s some blank space from the staff.

YAY FER MESSY EDGES!! XD Clean up the edges a bit if they're messy, like mine. ;D Just use a bit of nail polish remover on a q-tip and it'll be all fancy~ XD I won't be able to put up the thief tutorial until Sunday night. However, I will post something new and lovely on Monday night, as well. :3 So farewell~

Tutorial #4 Warriors of Light [Part three of five]

So tonight, I'll be posting both the warrior and white mage tutorials. Since I forgot to post the Warrior one last night. XDD FAIL. Haha. So First up... Warrior. :3 These are rather simplistic.

Step One:
So make your nails lovely, put on the base coat... yada yada... I used the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear, Red Carpet. I love this colour so much. It's a fabulous dark red with a lovely sparkle to it. Two coats and you're pretty well perfect. :3

Step Two:
Use a goldish colour. Metallic looks best, and more sword-like. Or one with a slight sparkle to it. Use this colour to paint the hilt of your sword. One line going across on an angle, and another meeting it at a 90 degree angle.
Step Three:
Again, use a metallic or sparkly colour. This time, you'll want silver. Lighter would look better, but the only silver I have is a little on the dark side. So man up. :p paint out your blade. You can do any kind of blade you want, but I just did your average broadsword, widening as it goes out, then pointing back in. I also took a white, thin brushed polish, and did thin lines along the edges, where the light would hit.

That's all, really. Like I said, really simplistic. Nothing too fancy here. :p I'll get the White Mage tutorial up within half an hour.

Tutorial #3 - Warriors of Light [Part Two of five]

Part two is Black mage! Now a warning, these did not turn out very lovely. XDDD But I guess I'll post them anyway, because I said I would. xp My white mage ones that will be posted on thursday are MUCH nicer. :3

Step One:
Clean up your nails, and put down your base coat. The usual stuff. I used a black base coat, and then put a very thin layer of dark blue over top. On it's own, you would need about three coats of the dark blue to make it opaque. So putting it over the black gave the black just a slight blue ish shimmer.

Step Two:
Using a gold, or a tan coloured polish, paint a little black mage hat... I started with the line for the brim, done with the edge of the brush, then made a triangle-like shape on top. Put a bit of a dip on it, too, where the hat folds over. :3

Step Three:
Using either the same colour used on the hat, or a more metallic gold colour, use the edge of your brush to do another line, going in whichever direction you please. I did mine going straight up. Once it dries, use red, yellow, or light blue (Firaga, Thundaga, Blizzaga. Duh.) to put a little orb on the end of the rod. :3 I didn't do this, but you could also make the rod casting a spell, some how. :p Maybe just a couple of little flicks of colour coming from the "orb". Could be cute. I didn't do it, though. XD

I also used the dark blue to put a little sash on the hat. Like I said, the black mage nails are not my best work... :/ But I'm still posting them because I said that I would. : p Tomorrow, I'll post the tutorial for the warrior nails. I didn't take as many pictures as I probably should have, but oh well, I guess... Still pondering what to do next week... Kindly let me know if you think of a fun idea~ :3
